PurposeThis page is dedicated to the research of the family Bélanger. We are dedicated to helping you find your Bélanger connection, as well as offering some historical facts along the way. It is fairly well known that if you are a Bélanger and live in North America the chances are about 99% that you descend from one of two progenitors of the name. That being Francois or Nicolas. While extensive research has been done and is still on-going to this day, the relationship between Francois and Nicolas remains a mystery. Was Nicolas a son of Francois, a brother, or not related at all? I'm afraid that unless we experience a modern day miracle we may never know the truth of it. In any event we trust you will find these pages of some interest and it is our sincere hope that we will be able to assist you in finding that connection which will link you to either Francois or Nicolas. I have done my best to make this web site bilingual but, with my limited French vocabulary, it was not only difficult to translate the French to today's English but the other way around was not easy either. Although French was my first language, it was Acadian French (Franglais) and not Quebec nor Parisian French.
